Lingerie Care Guide

lingerie Care Guide

Carelessly washing your lingerie will wear out the elasticity, colour, and strength much sooner than you or we would like. This guide will help you get the most out of your Suspect pieces.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WASH MY SUSPECT LINGERIE?

Panties should as standard be washed after each wear, while your bra does not necessarily need to be washed after every single wear.

Bras could have 3-4 wears before they need to be washed, all depending on your day-to-day and your personal preferences but washing your bras too often can be damaging to its shape and structure. It is not recommended to wear the same bra every day therefore adding additional bras to your wearing rotation will ensure your favourite bras maintain a better fit for longer.

HOW TO HAND-WASH YOUR LINGERIE

Hand washing is the best option for delicate laces, satins and stretch fit lingerie and even cotton or jersey pieces which are usually instructed to wash at 30-40, would benefit from being treated to a hand wash every now and again.

Separate your darks from light and hand-wash your lingerie at cool/room temperature water with a small amount of detergent. Swirl slowly and allow to soak in the water, do not be afraid to gently rub the fabric together to remove any dirt or stains. Roll your lingerie in a clean towel to remove any excess water, do not twist or wring. Once the excess water has been removed hang dry or lay on a drying rack, in a warm area away from direct sunlight.

HOW TO MACHINE WASH YOUR LINGERIE

Hand washing your Suspect Lingerie is preferred. If you need to use a washing machine to wash your lingerie; fasten your bra and garter clasps, turn panties inside out and insert your lingerie in a machine safe mesh bag. Set it to a gentle or delicate cycle with cool water, we recommend washing at 30 degrees. Never wash with rough items such as denim or heavy fabrics like towels when washing lingerie and always wash with similar colours. Hang dry or lay on a drying rack, in a warm area away from direct sunlight.

We do not recommend tumble drying at all but if you must, use a low heat setting.

Only use non chlorine bleach if needed, directly on stain and as instructed on product.

If ironing is required, iron on lowest heat and only on reverse and never over embroidery and applique decoration.

HOW TO STORE YOUR LINGERIE

Separate your bras from your panties. Lay your bras flat on top of one another creating a separate pile for padded and non-padded bras. Fold your garters and panties gently and place in a drawer facing up.
